A serious rise in weight after pregnancy is a big problem in women. The increased weight can lead to several medical problems and gives rise to various female questions. These questions if not answered properly can lead to serious medical illness and casualties. Thus, women must take proper care of themselves after pregnancy to avoid any medical or health problems.

•    Considering your Eating Habits: A women’s diet often changes after getting pregnant. The doctors suggest you various diet plans that support in the growth and development of your baby. After pregnancy, a proper diet is still important for breastfeeding your child. Thus, you must plan a proper and nutritional diet after pregnancy. Try eating lots of fruits, vegetables and whole grains. Eat smaller portions at equal time intervals. Eat only when you are hungry and avoid having junk foods.
•    Breastfeeding: Breastfeeding helps you to lose your excess weight. It also helps you to burn the calories and generate milk every time you nurse. Decreasing your diet or exercising vigorously may help you to reduce your weight but may hamper the nutrients in your breast milk. Breast milk is the healthiest food to the baby and thus reducing the nutrient levels from your breast milk will hamper your baby’s health.
•    Physical Activity in Daily Routine: Basically, doctors suggest women to avoid exercising for at least six to seven weeks after pregnancy. However, you can carry out simple and less complicated physical activities within a week or two after your pregnancy. Start small and simple activities like walking, stationary cycling, swimming, and light aerobics. However, you must avoid lifting heavy weights or performing heavy exercise. You may also try out meditating or yoga to get relaxed and to remain stress free.
