Pregnancy period is one of the most exciting and joyful moments in a woman’s life. The pregnancy also brings a lot or worries and queries. If these worries and queries remain unanswered, they can lead to serious problems. Women, in pregnancy often face many questions like the precautions to be taken, medications, exercise and diet.

The diet is a major question amongst pregnant women. Many diet charts, schedules and programs are prepared for the pregnant women. A perfect diet helps the pregnant women to obtain appropriate amount of nutrition, proteins and fats. A proper diet is also essential for healthy growth of the child. Thus, diet is one of the most common female questions.

Best diet plans during Pregnancy:
Following is one of the best diet plans during pregnancy:
•    Grains about six to eight ounces per day: Grains like wheat, rice, cereals, etc. contain rich fibers, vitamins, minerals and proteins. They help in obtaining appropriate amount of energy and nutrients.
•    Fruits: Apricots, blueberries, cherries, mango, papaya, strawberry, watermelons, pear, guava, grapefruits, and kiwi are some of the fruits that should be included in the diet of a pregnant woman. It helps in providing large amount of vitamins, minerals, and proteins. Approximately, about two cups of fruits should be consumed everyday to obtain the required amount of vitamins.
•    Vegetables: Vegetables provide different vitamins and hence should be included in the pregnant woman’s diet. Vegetables like spinach, potatoes, carrots, sweet potatoes, green leafy vegetables, beans, peas and tomatoes are rich with vitamins and should be included in the diet.
•    Meat: About five to six ounces of meat must be included in the daily diet. It provides ample amount of proteins.
•    Milk and milk products: Around three cups of milk and other milk products should be included in the daily diet. The dairy products are great source of calcium and proteins. Thus, the dairy products must be included in the daily diet.
•    Oils: About six to eight spoons of oil must also be included in the diet. The oils may include olive oil, canola oil, safflower oil, etc. which are rich in fats. Thus, including appropriate amount of oil helps you to gain enough fats required.

All the above foods will help a pregnant woman to gain appropriate amount of nutrients and also help in avoiding any health problems. A healthy and hygienic diet also helps in a proper growth of both the mother and the child.
